Background:Currently,survival data from Asia on Acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF) patients induced by reactivation of hepatitis B virus(HBV-ACLF) are urgently needed to develop novel biomarkers helping determine when treatments such as intensive care alone,artificial liver support,or liver transplantation are optimal.Thus,in this study we aim to identify potential cell death biomarkers that could be of prognostic value in HBVACLF.
