We present a statistical analysis of CT-scans of core samples and statistical simulation of the images having the same pore-to-skeleton distribution as original scans. The analysis includes estimation of correlation function of pore-to-skeleton distribution and total porosity.Having these information synthetic images are simulated using truncated Gaussian technique. After that total porosity, permeability, geometrical and topological properties of the original and simulated images are computed numerically and compared. It is shown in this paper that porosity and permeability of synthetic and initial images are statistically equivalent. However, advanced geometrical properties such as specific surface area, specific mean curvature and Euler characteristic of pore space are underestimated.
