Sweetpotato is the sixth most important food crop in the world. The tuberous roots are the most important valuable parts of sweetpotato, which are developed from adventitious roots derived from the underground part of stems. The molecular mechanisms under the differentiation of the tuberous roots remains unclear.

Hippo signaling pathway was discovered for its critical role in organ growth control in multicellular organisms.Extensive studies have indicated that mechanical signals, such as tissue tension and sti
The G protein-coupled estrogen receptor (GPER) is a physiological estrogen receptor mediating both the genomic and non-genomic effects of estrogen and has been implicated in breast cancer development.
Drosophila genetic analyses have suggested that Pez is essential for the activity of the Hippo pathway specifically in Drosophila midgut epithelium.
Whether the Hippo pathway contributes to cell lineage transition under pathological conditions, especially tumorigenesis, remains largely unknown.
