Aim To explore the role of PTEN in gastric cancer invasion and metastasis and its mechanism.Methods (1) MKN-28 gastric cancer cells were transfected with GFP-PTEN (PTEN wild-type), GFP-PTEN-G129E (a protein phosphatase-active, lipid phosphatase-inactive mutant of PTEN), GFP-PTEN-C124S (a protein phosphatase-inactive mutant of PTEN), or cotransfected with GFP-PTEN and FAK (GFP-PTEN-FAK) or cotransfected with GFP-PTEN and FAK Tyr-397 mutant (GFP-PTEN-FAK-F397) or cotransfected with GFP-PTEN and FAK Tyr-925 mutant (GFP-PTEN-FAK-F925).
