Objective Although it is well known that antipsychotics induce abnormal involuntary movements,large-scale data are still lacking on the relationship between such involuntary movement and dopamine D2 receptor blockade with antipsychotics in patients with schizophrenia.The objective of this study was to evaluate the relationship between antipsychotic-induced abnormal involuntary movement like tardive dyskinesia and estimated dopamine D2 receptor occupancy at peak and trough in patients with schizophrenia,using the dataset from the Clinical Antipsychotic Trials in Intervention Effectiveness (CATIE).
