To observe the anti-inflammatory effect of GBE50 (extract of Ginkgo biloba) on aged mice and the protective effect of it on neuron against toxicity induced by beta-amyloid (Aβ25-35).Firstly, 16-month-old Male ICR mice were randomly divided into the following groups: model group, GBE50 low dose group (9 mg/kg, 60days) and high dose group (45 mg/kg, 60 days), 3-month-old mice was selected as control group.We used the step-down test to detect learning and memory ability, and used ELISA to evaluate the main pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β and TNF-α in hippocampus.
