The SNARE complex involved in neurotransmitter release is composed of synaptobrevin on the synaptic vesicles, and syntaxin-1 and SNAP-25 on the plasma membrane.The assembly of the SNARE complex is highly dynamic and critically regulated by Munc 18-1, Munc 13-1, but the molecular mechanism of this process is still unclear.
