So far,12 genetic mutants of sodium-activated potassium channel (KCNT1,Slack) had been found in severe early-onset epilepsy patient by whole genome sequence.However,how the biophysical property of these mutated Slack channel been changed and the underlying mechanism that leads to epilepsy remain unknown.
