Nano-particle reinforced nickel matrix composite coating,n-Al2O3/Ni,is prepared by manual-brushplating and auto-brushplating technologies.Structure and friction wear property of the two kinds of coating were researched.For the auto-coating,the surface is smooth and neat,and made up of large quantity spheroid grains.There are few lacunae among the grains.The observed auto-coatings structure is denser,only few holes and cracks appear,the sandwich is obvious and trend to connect to a whole.Compared with the auto-coating,the manual-coatings surface is coarser and more accidented,the grains which forms the surface are not spheroid but anomalistic and similar to cauliflower,the lacunae among the grains are ubiquitous.The structure of manual-coating is sparser than the auto-coatings,there are a small quantity of holes and cracks in the section,one or two cracks extend deep into the coating.
