Aim: It was recently found miRNA-124, one of the most abundantly expressed miRNAs in the nervous system, could promotes microglia (tissue-resident macrophages in CNS) quiescence and suppresses experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) by deactivating macrophages.These findings prompted us to ask whether miR-124 is involved in regulation of the TLR activation in periphery macrophages.
