International Collaborative Learning focusing on Asian English

  Since we have been involved in the international collaborative projects,such as World Youth Meeting(WYM),we have come to learn that movie clips or collaborative English materials development are an efficient method for the younger generation living in Asian region to acquire competencies.They are strongly expected to acquire the sense and ability to overcome cultural gaps caused by differences in communication strategies.Students are trained to cultivate their English communication skills while challenging the collaborative presentations performed in front of a big audience in the WYM or other international events.When think about English materials to help enhance communication in Asia; we are now making courses on LMS using model presentations conducted by Asian students from the Philippines or Cambodia.That is attractive for students since the presenters are the same ages and the contents are strongly related to their interests and events in which they would be involved.We believe it is time that educational materials should be developed internationally.
