Though lithium primary battery has been applied far and wide,the safety of lithium primary battery still needs to pay more attention due to the activated lithium.This paper investigated the impact test of samples of six states,according to the regulation of IEC 62281- 2004.The result shows that sample which only has metal Li and electrolyte or only has metal Li or full batteries has the possibility of fire in the impact test.It demonstrates that the reason for fire in the impact test is not only because of internal short,but also the burning of metal Li at high temperature.Therefore,the intention of the impact test in IEC 62281- 2004 should be thought over.
