Progresses in LC column technology including small particles, monolithic, core shell and temperature stable materials has significantly increased the separation efficiency in liquid chromatography with very narrow LC peaks (PWHH < 1 second).However, the LC separation speed start to challenges the mass spectrometric duty cycle and very fast acquiring mass spectrometers based on triple quadrupole (QqQ) for positive or negative polarity analysis or quadrupole time-of-flight (QqTOF) geometry for high resolution are required to fully exploit the LC separation power.
