Background and Objective Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) results in significant long-lasting neurological sequelae. Therefore, evaluating acute and long-term outcomes after therapeutic intervention is critical for clinical translation. Here we investigated 1) whether human albumin (AIb) improves long-term outcomes in experimental SAH; 2) whether neurovascular protection is exerted by AIb in early phase of 24 h after SAH onset and 3) whether neurovascular remodeling is involved in the protection of AIb.
