Over many decades, the Orchidaceae plant associated microbial endophytes have been studied as plant growth inducers and “bio-factories” of natural bioactive compounds. In this review article we have accumulated the current data on dynamics and diversity of endophytic microbes isolated from Dendrobium plants that produce multifunctional metabolites with potential growth inducers activity as well as promote the plant growth. Many microbial endophytes have the potential to biosynthesize numerous bioactive natural compounds that may indirectly or directly be applied as therapeutic mediators and control the several plant diseases. The dynamics relations between the host and their endophytes are not up till now fully understood. This review is also captured the full range of studies conducted on orchid transformation through endophytic microbes with a view of providing new perspectives for upcoming plant-microbes interaction investigation.
