  Metallomics as an emerging scientific research field focuses on the science of biometal.These years we have been dedicating to analytical methodological development that is necessary to metallomics study,and their applications in metallomics study.We will present 1)a novel nanosemiconductor(TiO2 and/or ZrO2)based photocatalysis vapor generation system [1-6].It was applied to mercury and selenium determination and speciation as effective sample introduction unit or interface between HPLC and atomic fluorescence spectrometer(AFS); 2)a novel thermodiffusion interface(TDI)between capillary gas chromatography(cGC)and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS)for high efficient transportation of lead and mercury species and determination [7]; 3)HPLC/ICP-MS with dynamic reaction cell(DRC)for selectively screening and recognizing and absolutely quantifying metal/metalloid proteins in human plasma,to understand the metal/metalloid-protein interaction and the function of metalloproteins during a certain biological process as well as their quantification when the metal/metalloid is used as an element-tag [8-10]; 4)metabolism of mercury and cadmium,offering definite evidences that phytochelatins(PCs)and metallothioneins(MTs)are playing important roles for the defensive mechanisms towards Cd/Hg stress [11-15].
