  Rheology is the science of deformation and flow of material under load.Research on the rheology of both mortar and concrete has contributed immensely in widening the area of application.Influence of alkalies,sulphate, etc, present in clinker and cement on the hydration kinetics is significant and closely linked with rheological reactivity.Fly ash may not always have the same influence on mortar rheology because of the varying effects of their interaction with different chemical compounds of OPC.
