The steam reforming of dimethyl ether (SRD) catalyzed by physical mixture of Cu6Zn3Al0.5Cr0.5 and HZSM-5 in a metal foam reactor was extensively studied to produce hydrogen for low-temperature fuel cells.The performance of SRD in a metal foam reactor or fixed-bed reactor were investigated with Cu6Zn3Al0.5Cr0.5/HZSM-5.Hydrogen yield of >95% and DME conversion of 99% was achieved in the metal foam reactor under 250 ℃.
