A polyvinylpyrrolidone/ethanol solution was selected to be a basis solution to disperse Au nanorods.The orientation microstructure of gold nanorods on the glass sheet was prepared by a dip-coating technique assisted by a gradient electric field.The result of field emission scanning electron microscopy showed that gold nanorods was aligned along the pulling direction on the surface of glass, which was obtained under the pulling speed of 15 mm/min and the gradient electric field of 700 V/cm assisted.The result of UV-vis absorption spectra of the sample showed that there is obvious optical polarizing performance in the range of 650-1100 nm.
