In the rapid development of urbanization in my country,the number of"village-to-community" is gradually increasing as a new type of community created by exploring the integration of urban and rural areas.Due to changes in living space,changes in production and lifestyles,cultural conflicts,and management system reconstruction,the residents of the "village-to-community” cannot adapt to the new community environment,lack a sense of belonging and responsibility,and hinder them from exerting their abilities and participating in community management.Therefore,the residents of the community who transfer from the village need to introduce professional workers and use community development funds as the carrier to stimulate the awareness of community residents’ participation and enhance the ability to participate in governance,thereby enhancing the community residents’ sense of effectiveness and sense of responsibility,and promoting the development of healthy,harmonious and orderly community.Through the perspective of social work,supported by empowerment theory and regional development models,it uses participatory observation and interviews to conduct in-depth investigations on the residents of Chengdu HS community to understand the community background,resources and the status quo of community residents’ participation ability.According to the needs of community residents,corresponding social work services will be launched.On the basis of integrating the relevant resources of the HS community and establishing the community public space;then promotes the community residents to establish community self-organizations,participate in the planning and execution of community activities,etc.to gradually exercise their participation in governance capabilities.This article is divided into five parts.The first chapter is the introduction.Based on reading and analyzing a large number of domestic and foreign documents,it analyzes the status quo of the research on the "village-to-residential" community governance and community residents’ participation ability,and elaborates the research background and theory.The second chapter narrates the main body of the research,introduces the relevant development background of the HS community,and analyzes the status quo of the participation ability of the residents of the HS community from the two levels of subjective participation awareness and objective technical ability.At the same time,according to the status quo of participation ability,it analyzes the reasons for the status quo from the two levels of the community and the residents,looking for a breakthrough for improvement.The third chapter combines the background of HS community resources and the reasons for the current situation,expounds the advantages of social work intervention,and formulates service plans according to the needs of community residents.The fifth chapter is effectiveness and reflection.It evaluates the effect of social work intervention in the"village-to-community”,and enhances the participation awareness,participation ability and self-organization ability of community residents.At the same time,it reflects on the specific application of the theoretical model of social work in the process of practice,the role and positioning of social workers,and the shortcomings.Through a series of specific practical activities carried out in the HS community in Chengdu,it demonstrated the theoretical and methodological advantages of social work in improving the participation ability of residents in the “village-to-community”,and helped other “village-to-community” in improving the ability and participation of residents.In terms of community development,it provides path possibilities,indirectly promotes the process of urbanization in my country,enriches the governance of transitional communities,and provides practical exploration experience.
