With the development of science and technology and the globalization of economic, the demand of training highly skilled professionals who can contribute to Japan and the international community grew. Depending on this kind of circumstances, the system of Professional Postgraduate College was founded in 2003 to train highly skilled professionals. Then the Japanese government implemented various policies to support the development of Professional Postgraduate College.The thesis comprises of 5 chapters and their contents are as follows:Introduction: Explain what and why to be investigated in the thesis. Point out the thesis’s value both from the perspective of theory and practice, and then summarize the existing research results.Chapter One: Analyze the background of the Japanese Professional Postgraduate College Education.Chapter Two: Analyze the progress of Japanese Professional Postgraduate College Education by referring the Japanese government’s material.Chapter Three: Analyze the Japanese Professional Postgraduate College Education’s existing condition from three parts, the type of Professional Postgraduate College, the system of Professional Postgraduate College and the management of Professional Postgraduate College.Chapter Four: Analyze the individual case of Japanese Professional Postgraduate College Education.Chapter Five: Discuss the feature and the problem of Japanese Professional Postgraduate College Education and the enlightenment on our country.The Chinese professional degree students resemble the Japanese professional postgraduate college students. When developing the graduate professional degree education in China, I think we can take Japan as a mirror, it will help us in training people with a comprehensive and practical skills suitable expertise and the social changes of the times.There is great practical significance to explore the Japanese professional postgraduate college education. It is useful for China to develop Professional degree education, to meet the needs of people acquiring the expertise and ability to age, to improve the situation of graduate students’employment.
