In this issue, there are four written speeches: Lan Renzhe, president of National Research Council of Canada, talked about his views on the translation and introduction of foreign literary and literary theories; Jiangsu writer Huang Jiaxing talked about his understanding of Kafka’s “trial”; Chinese society Liu Zaifu, director of the Institute of Literature at the Academy of Sciences, reviewed the climax of the influence of Chinese literature on foreign literature since ancient times, expounded the characteristics of socialist literature in accepting the influence of foreign literature in the “new period” and the acceptance of writers. The drama “Here Wang Pei-hong, the author of ”The Wrangles,“ ”Fiery Heart,“ and ”WM (We)“ hope to read more and better translations. Their opinions are unique and worth reading. As of this issue, a total of 20 written articles were published in this column. It is not hard to see that writers, translators, editors and critics in our country all think that our country’s foreign literary accomplishments are very great, bringing about a subtle influence to the literary and artistic creation in the new era of socialism, and at the same time it is an obvious one. The majority of literary workers and readers hope to make their foreign literary work more in-depth, systematic and comprehensive. This is a requirement of the times and a historic mission of our foreign literary workers. We sincerely thank all writers and other passionate supporters. As of this issue, the ”Chinese writers talk about foreign literature" column came to an end. However, for foreign literary issues, friends from all quarters are still welcome to continue to express their opinions and we will make it to readers in other forms.
