PC和Mac的用户通过PCI版本的Powercore就可将自己的电脑升级成高性能的音频工作站。原因是在兼容VST的录音环境下,其内建高性能的DSP插件可以胜任复杂的音频处理,几乎不消耗主机的资源。这块卡提供了众多高质量的插件,最特别的是两种混响,一种是基于TC自己的混响效果器,另一种算法混合了经典的Lexicon效果处理器。虽然有些主机上的混响效果也很好,但毕竟CPU的处理能力有限。相对来说,用专门的DSP芯片就少了很多限制,当你使用它后一定会爱不释手。其他捆绑的插件包括延时、EQ、动态处理、5段的人声处理器和一个吉他音箱模拟器。额外的插件可以由TC或第3方厂商提供支持,用以扩展Powercore的功能。
PC and Mac users can upgrade their computers to high-performance audio workstations via the PCI version of Powercore. The reason is that in VST compatible recording environment, its built-in high-performance DSP plug-in can handle complex audio processing, almost no consumption of host resources. This card offers a wide range of high quality plugins, most notably two reverbs, one based on TC’s own reverb effect and the other on a classic Lexicon effect processor. Although some hosts on the reverb effect is also very good, but after all, CPU processing power is limited. Relatively speaking, with a dedicated DSP chip a lot less restrictions, when you use it will put it down. Other bundled plug-ins include delay, EQ, dynamic processing, 5-segment vocal processor and a guitar amp simulator. Additional plug-ins are supported by TCs or third-party vendors to extend Powercore’s capabilities.
