竞争,作为市场经济的主要特征,在媒体间也有着同样的表现:同质媒体间以及异质媒体间的竞争加剧,反映社会竞争的媒体自身也避免不了卷入竞争。城市电视:从“三级办”到“多层争”电视媒体面临的竞争形势尤为严峻。以长春为例,目前通过有线电视网络可以收看到45套电视节目。其中,中央台10套,吉林省台6套,长春台5套,其余24套来自21家卫视频道以及中央教育台、吉林教育台和长影频道。45套节目使观众选看电视的自由度有了充分的满足,而电视频道和节目每天都面临着选择、淘汰的残酷取舍,竞争的激烈程度可想而知。
