The bi-annual signature event of the textile industry in China - the 18th International Exhibition on Textile Industry(hereinafter as “ShanghaiTex 2017”) will be held in Shanghai New International Expo Center, Pudong, Shanghai, China on November 27th - 30th, 2017. Based on the sound achievement accumulated in the previous editions, ShanghaiTex 2017 will unveil a parade of “Textile for Smarter Future” with over 1,200 anticipated exhibitors. The show will present a high-end innovation feast integrating the textile and cross-boundary technology for buyers to preview the future technology and trend of the industry.
The highlighted technology mainly includes: Sports Textiles Technology, Technology for Automotive Textiles, Knitting & Hosiery Machinery, Digital Printing Machinery, Dyeing, Printing & Finishing Machinery & Textile Chemicals, Spinning & Techtextile Machinery, Weaving Machinery, Spare Parts and Accessories for Textile Machinery, New Materials, and Technology & Designs for Textile Products.
It focuses on the world’s latest innovative textile technology, high-growth application sectors and cross-border technology, thereby assisting industry to overcome challenges and spark new opportunities on the way to industry 4.0.
In response to the “Customization” trend, ShanghaiTex 2017 contributes to the progressive realization of industry 4.0 through promotion of advancement in production, digitalization, sustainability and servitization, to breathe new dynamics and value to the industry and assist Chinese textile to rank among the world’s manufacturing powers.
ShanghaiTex will also bring high-growth application sectors and cross-border technology under the spotlight. A series of exciting events focusing on “Industry 4.0”, “Sports Technology” and “Green Denim Production”, such as trend forum, technical seminar, display, and performance will be held concurrently.

Sensibly, for textile manufacturers, realizing 4.0 has become a necessity to achieve profitable growth by enhancing their adaptability to get orders, prior to productivity optimization.
Instead of one-off expenditure, achieving industry 4.0 should be regarded as “step by step” investment in raising business competitiveness by responding quickly to changing markets. From innovation of product, service to production process, ShanghaiTex will demonstrate the integration of information, internet, IoT and mobile electronics technology, assisting enterprises to find their own pace to industry 4.0. The experience zone will gather the world’s latest 3D body scanning and virtual fitting technology, ERP/CAD system, as well as e-commerce platform together to demonstrate the operation of a smart factory. Visitors will definitely get inspired through hands-on experience of the equipment and technology that involved under C2M.
With the focus of textile technology on sports market, the ShanghaiTex 2017 Concurrent Event “Sports Arena” at Hall W1 will look into three hot topics: sports bra, wearable technology and shoe technology.
