Since new technologies can detect GMOs in processed foods, the Japanese government has decided to regulate the content of these substances. The newspaper said Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture’s permission to allow 5% of GMO in foods is likely to spark criticism from domestic consumers. Because in Japan, there are many people who oppose the application of biotechnology to food production.
