ZTE Corporation achieved a wireless data transmission rate of 1 Gbps in a live demonstration at Mobile Asia Expo inShanghai. This represents a global breakthrough in the development of next-generation LTE-A networks.In the demonstration, ZTE used carrier aggregation technology with four carrier frequencies on the F band and D band.With carrier aggregation, two or more carrier frequencies sharing the same or different bands are aggregated into one channel. This increases peak transmission speed of TD-LTE cells.
