宗炳的《画山水序》体现了借助形象传达神韵的“以形写神”绘画观。这与后代“重神轻形”的绘画理论形成对比,而与六朝文论中的“形似”观形成呼应。反映出六朝审美观念中对美感形式的重视。
Zong Bing’s “Landscape Painting” embodies the concept of “painting God” with the aid of images. This contrasts with the descendants’ theory of painting based on “light weight and lightness”, and echoes the “shape-like” view in the literary theory of the Six Dynasties. Reflects the aesthetic concept of the Six Dynasties the importance of the form of beauty.
