The earliest private newspapers in China were the tabloids published in mid-11th century by Liang Liang (now Kaifeng), Lin’an (now Hangzhou) and other cities in the Song Dynasty. According to the records of the relevant literature, since the founding of the ninth year of Song Sanzong (1031), many leaflets and pamphlets mainly covering the news and capitals not contained in the official newspapers (Di Bao) have appeared in these cities (Indefinite period, some of which are printed, others are written), people collectively refer to them as “tabloids” sometimes implicitly referred to as "new
