Since the discovery of islet cell antibodies (ICA), it has generally been accepted that the pathogenesis of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) is associated with an immune disorder. Based on the fact that many IDDMs occur as a result of viral infection, the authors determined the NK cell activity that plays an important role in the early stages of viral infection and discussed. The subjects were 32 children with IDDM (15 males and 17 females, aged 3-18 years) and 32 healthy individuals of the same age. All children given insulin therapy, the resulting good control effect in 15 cases, the effect is not good in 17 cases. Monocytes were isolated from peripheral blood as effector cells and labeled with Na_2 51 CrO 4 for K-562 cells
