However, just as every amazing advance in weapons technology in history has taken place, effective countermeasures have followed, and now there are effective ways to deal with modern electro-optical weapons. Such weapons systems can be rendered ineffective by clever use of the terrain, the use of repressive firepower, and the release of smoke screens to cut off the shooter’s line of sight or laser beam path. Among them, the smoke screen is an effective means of confrontation that has been generally emphasized by the military departments of various countries.
