The SECRAL ion source is an important facility in HIRFL-CSR which has a quite complex structure including lots of different equipment. To operate and maintain the SECRAL ion source is a complicated and tired work. In order to improve the working efficiency and safety of the facility’s, an innovating SECRAL monitor and control system is designed and realized by the slow control group in IMP. This system not only monitors and controls all of the equipment for SECRAL ion source, but also provides a software interlock and alarm function to avoid damage the facility. With the assistance of this system, the heaviest ion-Uranium has been generated successfully by SECRAL this year.
