Can a base for people to live in and do experimental research be built on the moon? This issue is no longer a scientific fantasy. Recently, researchers at the Construction Technology Laboratory in Skachi, Ill., completed a small-scale concrete test. The materials selected for the preparation of concrete specimens were provided by the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration for 40 grams of soil on the moon and alumina cement made on Earth.
