Rudolf Arnheim has said that under normal circumstances one can automatically derive the concept of third-order vision of objects from perceptual experience. The so-called third-degree visual concept is the different aspects of the object that human vision sees and can not see at the same point of view. For example, when we observe a three-dimensional object, we can only observe at most three surfaces of the three-dimensional object (the light-receiving surface, the dark surface, the upper surface or the lower surface) The two faces still exist objectively, then the existence of all these faces constitutes the concept of third-degree vision.
