郭豫才先生是我国新史学和早期考古学的先驱之一,他以辛勤的工作和聪明才智,在史学界早期创办的杂志《禹贡》上,发表很多研究文章。之后,他又担任了琉璃阁墓地发掘的主持人,对琉璃阁的器物进行研究。他所撰写的《说毕》、《说豆》等6篇文章是最基础的关于琉璃阁的研究成果。二次世界大战时期,日本法西斯侵略中国,敌人的飞机在中国的大地上频频丢下炸弹。郭豫才先生与河南省博物院的几位同事为了保护河南省珍贵的文物,冒着战火辗转三个省,最后把文物运到重庆,使国家的稀世珍宝得以保存。建国后,郭豫才先生是西南师范学院的重要创办人之一,为新中国的高教事业做出了巨大的贡献。
Mr. Guo Yucai is one of the pioneers of new historiography and early archeology in our country. He published many research articles with his hard work and ingenuity on the magazine Yugong founded by historians in the early days. Later, he served as host of the discovery of the glazed pavilion cemetery and studied the objects of the glazed pavilion. He wrote the “finish”, “say beans” and other six articles is the most basic research on the glass Pavilion. During the Second World War, the Japanese fascists invaded China and their enemy planes frequently dropped bombs on the earth in China. In order to protect the valuable cultural relics in Henan Province, Mr. Guo Yucai and several colleagues at the Henan Provincial Museum removed the war to three provinces and finally transported the relics to Chongqing, keeping the country’s rarity treasures preserved. After the founding of New China, Mr. Guo Yucai was one of the important founding members of Southwest China Teachers College and made great contribution to the cause of higher education in new China.
