迈克尔·度德威特的动画作品深受中国和日本艺术的启发,带着毛笔笔触的描绘和水墨色彩的运用成为他作品的标志性风格。本文从骨法用笔、水墨色彩、禅境表现三方面来阐释迈克尔·度德威特动画作品中的东方情愫,他的作品既活泼富禅趣,又在平淡中蕴藏浓厚的感情,他对东方传统文化“有”与“无”的调和、“空”与“静”的理解以动画短片的形式娓娓道来,却对我们现处的时代有着莫大的启迪。
Inspired by the art of China and Japan, his animation work by Michael Dev Dewitt has become the iconic style of his work with the brushwork and the use of ink and color. This essay tries to explain the oriental love affair in the works of Michael de Witt from the aspects of bone brush, ink color and the performance of the Zen. His works are both lively and magnificent, The traditional culture of “with” and “without” reconciliation, “empty” and “quiet” understanding in the form of animated short films, but it has a great inspiration to our present era .
