In mid-October 1978, the Institute of Machinery Industry Automation of the Machinery Department of the Ministry of Automation held a technical meeting for the exchange of sequential controllers in Liuzhou. 223 representatives from 163 units from provinces, municipalities, and cloth and commission attended the meeting. At the meeting, the development and application of sequential controllers at home and abroad were introduced; the thematic exchanges of the General Assembly introduced the experience and technical problems in the development and application; and the reliability of programmable controllers and sequencers was discussed in groups.
