Objective: To explore and analyze the application of total quality management theory in high-risk drug safety management of neonatology. Methods: By analyzing the hidden dangers of high-risk drugs in neonatal department of Zhoushan Maternal and Child Health Hospital in 2013, we applied the theory of quality management to the management of high-risk drugs in neonatology. In 2013, the safety risk of high-risk drugs in the neonatology department was taken as the experimental group, and the safety risk of high-risk drugs in the neonatology department in 2012 was used as the control group. Control group hospital routine neonatal high-risk drug safety management, full participation of neonatology, and strictly implement the management system. Observation team will apply the theory of total quality management in neonatal high-risk drug safety management, full participation of neonatology, and strictly implement the management system. The effects of two groups on the safety management of high-risk drugs in neonatology were compared. Results: There were 45 management defects in the observation group, 26.67% (12/45) in the high-risk drugs, 26.67% (6/45) in the high-risk drugs, 78 in the control group and the high-risk drugs The safety hazard accounted for 57.69% (45/78), high-risk drugs caused adverse reactions accounted for 30.77% (24/78), the observation group of high-risk drugs safety hazard events were significantly lower than the control group (P <0.05). It is suggested that quality management theory plays a significant role in the management of high-risk drugs in neonatology. Conclusion: The quality management theory has a significant effect on the safety management of high-risk drugs in neonatology. It not only improves the medical care level and management level of medical institutions, but also ensures the safety of children and enhances the medical staff’s awareness of high-risk drugs and medical risks. Significant clinical effect.
