华书店作为国有文化企业始终把社会效益放在首位,始终坚持“为人民服务,为社会主义服务”的“二为”方针。新时期,在互联网、数字出版、智能阅读终端掀起的技术革命大潮冲击下,遭遇前所未有的发展困境,生存步履维艰,压力山大,在民营书店纷纷撤退、放弃图书市场的情况下,新华书店以承担社会责任为首要政治任务,始终坚守文化阵地,捍卫公共文化场所、地域文化标志、社会文化“软实力”载体和推动全民阅读重要渠道的存在。毋庸置疑,新华书店是我国公共文化服务体系的重要承担者和主力军。
