《英语课程标准》关于阅读技能(五级)的目标描述为:学生应该能根据上下文和构词法推断、理解生词的含义;能够找出文章中的主题,理解故事情节,预测故事情节的发展和可能的结局;能够根据不同的阅读目的运用简单的阅读策略获取信息;除教材外,课外阅读量应积累达到15万词以上。由此可见,阅读教学是英语教学中相当关键的一环,这对我们老师提出了更高的要求。初中英语阅读教学不仅仅是对语言点的简单处理,也不只是对文本信息的浅层捕捉和理解,对于教师来说,阅读教学的重要任务是培养学生思考分析文本深层意义的习惯与能力,陶冶学生情操,提高跨文化学习意识,培养综合语言运用能力。
