Canada has a land area of 9.95 million square kilometers and a population of 25 million. It is rich in mineral resources and developed in the mining industry. It is an important pillar of economic development in the country. In 1983, the per capita mining output value was 1,170 US dollars. Such a high level is rare in all countries of the world. The federal government of Canada has a Ministry of Energy, Mines and Resources to manage the country’s mineral resources and mining. This department, including our well-known scientific research institutions, has a total of 5,000 people. Its business scope broadly includes our country’s oil, Coal, geology and minerals, and mining related work in the metallurgy, non-ferrous metals, chemicals, building materials, and uranium mining sectors. Within the federal government’s terms of reference, resources and mining development work in one, with one ministry responsible for overall control.
