Concept: The inverted installation was cut from an ancient stone, dating back more than 21 million years. The quarry, located in Lecce, Italy, was opened as early as Rome. The construction process started with a “5 × 7” watercolor sketch created in New York, after which the sketches were converted into 3d text and a five-axis surface was cut at Lecce without construction drawings. The unit contains a total of six stones, each weighing about 1179.34kg (2600 pounds). The device is carved into a rectangular stone and flipped directly into a cube, echoing the inverted reflection on the surface of the water.
