<正> 1279年,元将张弘范在广东新会县的崖山大败宋军,逼使幼帝赵禺投海,南宋至此灭亡。为身后流“芳”,张弘范在崖山刻石纪“功”,题曰:“张弘范灭宋于此。”到明朝时,新会县有个理学家陈献章,见到这块刻石后怒不可遏,便雇来匠人在铭文前添刻一个字——“宋”,就成为“宋张弘范灭宋于此”。
