中国画历来追求精神层面的艺术创作,“诗中有画,画中有诗”也成为众所周知的中国画独特的艺术表现形式。其实,作为艺术审美的另一载体——欧洲风景画,也同样有着对诗意的理解和追求。17世纪,欧洲绘画开始从过去为宗教或贵族服务的工具当中解脱之后,逐渐转入到以抒发人性内心世界的表达层面为主。画家在与自然世界的对话当中,发掘风景画的表现奥妙,追寻一种新的表达语言,比如通过对风景画的探索去一一体现对诗意的表达。这时的风景画,才真正由以往只是简单地作为人物画背景或某一局部而独立为一个绘画载体。
