吉普赛爵士乐是20世纪爵士乐的重要分支,它是首个以族群命名的爵士乐风格,是美国爵士乐与法国吉普赛音乐相融合的产物,也是当今世界范围内仍被广泛传播和不断发展并有着重要影响力的音乐类型。詹戈·莱因哈特是公认的吉普赛爵士乐最具代表性的人物,他对吉普赛爵士乐的产生与发展具有重要意义,他的音乐在今天仍然有着旺盛的生命力。本文从莱因哈特的音乐生涯入手阐述吉普赛爵士乐的成因,并以他的音乐作品为例,分析吉普赛爵士乐的音乐特征,进而引发对其音乐背后文化意义的探究与思考。
