Objective: To observe the effects of winter training on the blood pressure level of recruits in cold area. Methods: Twenty-six recruits from a cold region were recruited. Meier MEC-2000 ECG monitor was used to measure the blood pressure in the supine position at 8:00, 12:00, 16:00 and 20:00 before and after winter training , Comparing the changes of blood pressure before and after training. The results showed that: (1) The overall blood pressure before training was (110.2 ± 9.8 / 64.9 ± 7.9) mmHg and (104.5 ± 8.3 / 59.5 ± 6.1) mmHg after training. The overall blood pressure before and after training was significantly different (P <0.05) . The blood pressure levels at the four time points after training were significantly or very significantly lower than those before training (P <0.05, P <0.01). (2) The mean arterial blood pressure before training was (79.9 ± 7.9) mmHg and (74.5 ± 6.1) mmHg after training. The mean arterial pressure before and after training was significantly different (P <0.05). The average arterial pressure at 8:00 after training was significantly lower than that before training (P <0.01), and the mean arterial pressure at 12:00 and 16:00 was significantly lower than that before training (P <0.05) Although the mean arterial pressure decreased, there was no significant difference between before and after training (P> 0.05). Conclusion: Winter training in cold area can significantly decrease the blood pressure of recruits.
