The invasion by the modern capitalist powers has divided China’s uniformed leaders, the unified system has been dismantled, the unified sovereignty has been divided, and the Chinese’s self-help movement has been launched. With the deepening of self-help movement, the Chinese have fissioned their traditional unified education, unified culture, unified law, unified politics, unified thinking values, and unified norms of conduct. This article attempts to explore the Chinese people’s behavior and pursuit during the decline of the country through this fission process. Before the Opium War, China was a unified state and society. Such unification is not only the unification of the territory but also the unification of various systems. This unity from the time of Qin and Han Dynasties has taken shape and further improved through the Tang and Song dynasties, deeply affecting the Chinese people’s thinking and behavior.
