In this paper, we investigate the negative response of clay-water mixtures (usually found in water-soluble caves) in polarizable half-space and their detection methods. This response can be used as a simple sign when groundwater is present. The transient voltage induced by half-space lamination loop is analyzed and used as the basis of calculation.
