《本草纲目拾遗》(以下简称《纲目拾遗》)载有“南连”一药,其原植物是什么,迄今未见报道及论述.笔者认为“南连”是蓼科植物酸模(Rumexacetosa L.)的根,现试加以考证. 《纲目拾遗》记载:“(南连)一名土连,浙温台金华山中俱有之.出处州者,名处连.以形大毛轻者好,性较川连尤寒.”又引《百草镜》云:“土黄连,二月发苗,根叶与羊蹄大黄无异,但短小耳.三月抽茎,高有尺许,花细成穗,结实初青后红,子藏棱中,夏至后枯.出浙江者名慈连;安徽宁国府宣城出者粗肥,名宣黄连.”以上记载说明:①南连,又称着土黄连,功效与黄连相似,浙江、安徽都有出产,且随产地不同,名称略有不同.②南连的根叶形态与羊蹄大黄相似,惟叶片较为短小.这些记载与酸

The above record notes: 1 Nanlian, also known as the soil Coptis chinensis, similar to Huanglian, is produced in Zhejiang and Anhui, and has a slightly different name with different origins. 2 The root and leaf morphology of Nanlian is similar to Rhubarb, but the leaves are relatively short.
