Heart failure is the terminal stage of the development of various cardiovascular diseases, in the course of its development, heart function deteriorating. At present, the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in the deterioration of cardiac function in heart failure are still not fully understood. Most scholars believe that the energy metabolism of myocardial cells and apoptosis (ie, degree of death) is a possible mechanism, but also in recent years, research hot spots. Voltage-dependent anion channel (VDAC) is a protein located on the outer mitochondrial membrane of myocardium, and its role in energy metabolism and apoptosis has drawn much attention. The author summarizes the current research status of VDAC and its possible relationship with heart failure
